Amish Connection

Crosshill Kennels is in Waterloo County, Wellesly Township. This area is the heart of Canada's Mennonite and Amish Community. Many Crosshill German Shepherd dogs are on these family farms where they thrive as pets. Crosshill Kennels tries to keep one pup per litter. Often these dogs are placed on separate neighboring farms, limiting each farm to a single German Shepherd Dog. This has proven to be an excellent method to evaluate our long term breeding program. Crosshill Kennels only breeds moms that are two or three year old for their first litter to ensure healthy hardy pups.
