Our Northern Ontario fishing camp paradise is 1000 kl north of Toronto. Missanabie is on the northeast shore of  Dog Lake, it was originally established as a Hudson Bay fur trading st. The Missinaibie - Michipicoten River canoe route connects James Bay to Lake Superior, the lake was a well travelled Voyageur trail. Our family has been enjoying the North with our german shepherd dogs since the 1970's. We usually bring  four gsd to protect us from the bears and to enjoy a northern holiday.
